Lindsay Simmons Counselling: Therapy for Individuals and Families
Lindsay Simmons Counselling – Specializing in individual and family therapy for people living with anxiety, stress and troubled relationships
For over 10 years, I have been working with individuals and families, helping them find their own solutions to the obstacles and roadblocks preventing them from living their best life. As a therapist, I listen to my clients and help them develop the tools they will need to build a strong foundation for personal growth, such as increased self esteem, problem solving skills, coping skills and positive self talk.
Therapy can be a valuable road-map on the journey towards self-love. It can help you reconnect with yourself, your family and your inner circle, to achieve a happy, balanced life.
Since completing my Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto, in 2006, where I specialized in Health and Mental Health, I have worked with homeless populations, displaced families, youth with brain injuries, individuals and families facing major life transitions (Divorce, Relocation), and those struggling to overcome anxiety, fears and depression.
Currently I support individuals and families struggling with:
Anxiety Disorders, Panic attacks and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Post Work Traumatic Stress Disorder (PWTSD)
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Feelings of being stuck, procrastination and trouble getting things done
Lack of motivation, lack of direction in life and/or always feeling tired
Low self-esteem and/or general stress and coping
Problem relationships with family and/or peers/colleagues
Major life changes – Divorce, Break-ups, moves, graduation etc
